According to Action Fraud, ‘Criminals are exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic to try and get their hands on your money and personal information. To date, Action Fraud has received reports from 2,378 victims of Coronavirus-related scams, with the total losses reaching over £7 million.’

Eastbourne Borough and Lewes District Councils have launched a new website to showcase hundreds of local food and drink businesses that are offering deliveries in response to the Covid-19 crisis. With demand rocketing as people stay at home; some businesses have diversified by transforming their premises into a community shop with a delivery option while others have scaled up their takeaway service. The councils’ website eatlocal.info is a comprehensive directory of these outlets. If you know of a business that is not yet listed, please ask them to email hello@eatlocal.info to have their details added to the site.
